The best options to show off the ideal figure

Pray a saying that: "fashion that suits you". And although the best thing is that you always use what makes you feel good and beautiful, the truth is that there are certain garments that this "rule" does apply, one of them are skirts.

Knowing what features of skirts work best with your body is an excellent way to make sure you look great all the time. So, to help you find the most flattering, below we tell you what skirt length you should use depending on your height.

    Petite stature

If your height does not exceed 1.60, it is best to use miniskirts. These can go long from the middle of your thighs up to the knees (as you prefer).

The skirts in Line A will favor you because your high waist cut will lengthen your frame, while the flight will stylize your legs.

Now, if you do not want to give up the skirts whose length is below your knees, then opt for the pieces that are enveloping or have openings. Both will make your legs look longer thanks to their type of cut.

    Medium height

If your height is between 1.60 and 1.70, the length in skirts that suits you best is the Midi, that is to say the one that reaches the middle of your legs. This is because they will make your figure look like an hourglass instantly.

The pencil cut or lines skirts, both in midi length, will accentuate your figure in the best way.

Likewise, a line skirt A, whose length is just above your knees, is a classic style that will give the perfect proportion to your legs.

As for the miniskirts, you can use them, but make sure your length always reaches above your knees.

    Tall

Is your stature greater than 1.70? Then the midi and maxi skirts must be yours. All of them, in the cut that you like the most, will help you to make your figure look stylized and the proportions between your torso and waist look symmetrical.

Thanks to your long legs, the midi skirts will look long on you. Opt for those that have movement.

The maxi skirts look amazing and elegant, especially if you wear heels (even if they are small).

Miniskirts? Yes, but try to be the classic style straight cut. These will not cover your waist and will leave more fabric for your legs, while allowing you to look at them.

Import the colors, the length of the garments, the footwear, the necklines and, even, the size of the accessories. 12 looks that stylize for women of short stature

    'Oversized' yes, but with nuances

1 of 12 Being a woman of short stature does not mean giving up certain silhouettes, but adapting them so that they do not go against you. If you drink the winds for that oversized coat -like this trench that Natasha Goldenberg wears- try to adjust it to the waist and force that open neckline that Demna Gvasalia so fashionable in her first collection for Balenciaga to lengthen the torso.

    Monochrome minimalism

2 of 12 If someone knows how to stylize his figure, that is Miroslava Duma. The fashion expert of Russian origin is known for her short stature and for making that detail does not matter at all. One of his best styling tricks is to bet everything to a single color and do it, in addition, with pieces of simple cuts. Goodbye, baroque; hello, minimal.

    Teach the shoulders

3 of 12 We already anticipated it in the first image: if you are going to bet on a garment slightly wider than usual, do not forget to show some skin. The boat necklines and 'off-the-shoulder' that have become so fashionable in recent seasons -also to go to the office- are the best trick to visually stylize the silhouette of short women. And yes, this little trick works even with the dreaded horizontal stripes.

    Color combinations that work

4 of 12 One method to refine the figure is to focus on how to lengthen the legs optically. And one of the most recurrent formulas is to choose a shoe with the same tone as the pants, whatever the length. If you bet on one of the "cropped flared" silhouette, practice this tactic with some booties -so the garment will not cut visually on the ankle-; If it is a pair of pants at ground level, do the same with some salons to make it infinite.

    Up your waist!

5 out of 12 the high-waisted pants and jeans are the order of the day and the short women could not be more than congratulations. This is precisely one of the silhouettes that favor them most because it optically lengthens the legs and, in addition, usually works with all body types. If, in addition, you accompany him with an open blouse and a belt that falls on the pants forming a straight line as Irina Lakicevic does, success is assured.

    The jackets, better short

6 of 12 Just as we use the high waist to make it look like the legs are born from above, short jackets can be the perfect resource for the same reasons: they make the torso seem shorter in favor of the lower part of your body. Avoid mid-calf designs and bet better on blazers and jackets that come from hip height up-advice: bullfighters are trend and may be your best friends.

And the salons, better of fine tip

7 of 12 Given that the rounded tip rooms can shorten your legs, it is time to get a pair finished in fine tip regardless of the trends - even better if the footwear in question has a tone very similar to your legs, as it happens to Natasha Goldenberg-. A very valuable advice that also applies to boots, boots, dancers and other types of shoes.

    Choose everything in mini size

8 of 12 Look closely at this look by Lucy Williams and memorize this commandment: you will choose the maximum number of your clothes and accessories in mini size. Not only we talk about a miniskirt that visually lengthens the length of your legs, that too, but to take into account the size of our bag and bet on an XS design. Remember that the bigger it is, the smaller (and less stylized) you will look in comparison.

    Goodbye, anklets, goodbye

9 of 12 Once fulfilled the maximum of resorting to rooms finished in fine tip-this well-known Balenciaga polka dots design would be the most dramatic version-, it is necessary to clarify certain details. Avoid, as far as possible, shoes with anklets - and, by the way, bracelets in that area in general. By splitting the legs at ankle height, they can visually shorten them and that is precisely what we do not want.

    Choose silhouette skirts A

10 of 12 Mark the waistline is one of the most important styling keys for petite women who want to optically stylize their figure. Hence, the A-line silhouette skirts are one of the most recurrent garments to achieve it. A rule that works equally for long skirts like the one in the picture as for those retro silhouette miniskirts with delayer buttons (or not). Christian Dior (and his New Look) was not wrong.

    V-neckline (of victory)

11 of 12 We return to Natasha Goldenberg to explain one of the classic tricks to polish the silhouette: the V-shaped necklines. The reason? His power to stretch the torso is infinite - as much as you want. If, in addition, it is a blouse with lacing, remember to let loose at least one of the strips of fabric to create a straight line that makes our task even easier.

    The ideal shoe tone

12 of 12 In addition to combining the color of the shoes with that of the pants to lengthen the legs, there is another color secret related to footwear that always works: choose sandals or nude-colored rooms or, for all the cases, that have the same hue as the skin. In the absence of a cut visually speaking on the foot, we will extend its length in appearance.

The looks of the 'insiders' in New York have coincided in dyeing the complement of an unexpected and resounding color that, of course, has already appeared in a handful of signatures

María José Pérez Méndez - @_MariaJosePerez - As good lovers of the new and of the visual impacts, in Vogue.es we always experience emotion in opening a file with street style photos. The feeling is similar to that of receiving and playing with a gift: the expectation, the uncovering, the enjoyment. It is also inevitable to make some bet on what will be seen on the streets during the Fashion Weeks but, of course and luckily, there is still room for surprise, and that is what has happened when we have realized Many, but many of the street style handbags in New York are dyed (oh, yes) yellow.

Let's explain. September is a curious month when it comes to the fashion industry. While the trends of the past spring-summer give their last throes and give way to the fall-winter, in the parades begin to glimpse the next summer, so that the looks of publishers and insiders become an amalgam of all of the above: what has happened, what is happening and what will happen in the short, medium and long term. A little chaotic, yes, but the reasoning that explains that after four days of images captured in Manhattan, the complement that most stood out is a yellow bag... This summer's trend is not over yet.

His appearances have been increasing with the passing of the hours and what began as a discreet coincidence or nod to the proposals of Hermès, Miu Miu, or Marni, has ended up becoming 1) the exemplification of the transition, 2) probable trend for 2018 (especially after seeing that yellow is still present in the collections) and 3) complement with viral vocation this season.

The first two points have a simple justification, while the third finds its argument in a few popular brands; Zara, Mango and & Other Stories, to name a few. All of them have coincided in including at least one bag dyed yellow, and yes, it is at least one because in the flagship of Inditex the models reach almost to the ten.

But the second part of this particular defense of the accessory resides in the always controversial (because it is impossible to please everyone) looks of the queen models of Instagram par excellence: Bella and Gigi Hadid. The sisters have worn different bags (half one, XS other) with the same bright tone as the thread.

As was the case with summer dresses, the impact of color is such that wearing it requires some commitment and tomorrow when executing chromatic combinations. Although reducing the size of the stain, the risk is slightly minimized (how many times has a need for a touch of color to add fun to the look been mentioned?), The new faces of the street style have coincided in preferring a more or less neutral palette based on black and white, although gray and navy blue appear as equally sophisticated alternatives. And here is one of the great keys of all those styles: the trend towards sophistication, whether in slip dress format, or in men's cut outfits.

The one baptized as 'Gen-Z Yellow' arrives and the decline that promises to become an absolute trend: the mustard

Marina Valera - @thelittlemarin - You may not be in tune with the style of Leandra Medine -aka The Man Repeller- but the truth is that the queen of layering has been that person in the fashion world for years, who gives her name to things. He did it many years ago with the 'arm party' - the act of wearing the wrist full of bracelets - as well as with a more recent trend, the menocore - a play on words between 'normcore' and menopause that refers to the new fashion to dress like a lady. Its new denomination responds to that tonality that will replace the Millennial Pink in our lives (and in our closet): Gen-Z Yellow or, what is the same, the yellow of Z Generation.

And reason is not missing since, as described in his article, there are many celebrities born between 1994 and 2008 who have taken the yellow flag: from Kylie Jenner to Millie Bobby Brown, through Kaia Gerber or Zendaya. As with the Millennial rose, the Gen-Z Yellow does not respond to a particular yellow tone, but many colors of this color range are beginning to become fashionable. But, considering that yellow is a color that has never been easy, the 'street style' of the fashion weeks has shed some light on its possible versatility with a very specific tone: mustard.

Yes, we speak of that shade of yellow that gets its name because of its similarity with the color of the food condiment made from mustard seeds and, as Cecilia Casero, editor-in-chief of Vogue.es explains, "hits with all". A tonality much more saturated than lemon yellow, more typical of summer, which has always been associated with the autumn season due to its similarity to the leaf litter of this time of year. For more inri, the cover of October 2017 of Vogue Italia with Lara Stone photographed by Harley Weir -the first under the tutelage of its new director Emanuele Farneti- mixed both tonalities and had as protagonist one of the most photographed coats of the season: the yellow plastic hair from the first Raf Simons collection for Calvin Klein 205W39NYC.

'Fashion insiders' the likes of fashion stylist and consultant Ada Kokosar; Net-a-porter fashion director Lisa Aiken - her Instagram account reveals her new obsession with this color tone - or fashion expert Tiffany Hsu has already approved the mustard with her look Street. Coincidentally, none of these women seems to be inside that age range that includes Generation Z. What if mustard was then the alternative, not only more versatile, but also more adult to Gen-Z Yellow? It is not the first time that we refer to mustard - it was the star of 'street style' just a year ago- nor yellow.

A month ago we reported one of the trends that had caught us most by surprise but, apparently, has all the ballots to stop being so unexpected: the yellow bags. A fashion that came from the streets of New York and that not only has the approval of the influencers, but also with that of the Hadid sisters. Undoubtedly, it is only the beginning of a macro trend that will be released in spring 2018: yellow, in many cases mustard, has played a leading role in the parades of Isabel Marant, Dries Van Noten, Salvatore Ferragamo, Prabal Gurung, Self Portrait, 3.1 Phillip Lim or Rosie Assoulin to name just a few. Now we only need to see if yellow is enough for Zara to trust us, as if we needed to put aside superstitions, also in terms of style. Meanwhile, we open our mouths with this shop of mustard colored garments and accessories that you can find in stores.
     You're welcome…
